It’s time for that annual Oscar party and no red carpet would be complete without award-winning cocktails! Recently, Van Gogh Vodka opened the envelopes and awarded the coveted “Martini” to the stars and starlets of the flavored vodka world. Fortunately for us, there were no long, boring acceptance speeches, just great drinks.

The big winner of the night was Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka for its performance in a shot of Espresso Explosion. Van Gogh Acai-Blueberry, sporting a beautiful purple hue, drew rave reviews and captured the Martini for its performance in the Pink Flamingo.

The Lifetime Achievement Martini was presented to Van Gogh Classic 80-proof Vodka for performances in The Gimlet, The Luxury Martini and the all-time favorite Classic Martini. (more…)

When the talented Los Angeles-based band Uh Huh Her (Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey) told us they were fans of Van Gogh Espresso Vodka, it seemed only natural that we would create a signature cocktail inspired by their laser-sharp melodies and ethereal harmonies.

But their friend and owner of Big Shot Motor Co. bartending service Danielle Jackson Motor beat us to the punch with an innovative cocktail recipe that is just as unique as the ladies of Uh Huh Her and a delicious salute to their latest album I See Red. Listen to their single Explode:

During a recent trip to Baltimore, I had the rare opportunity to spend a morning with 98 Rock’s Mickey, Amelia & Spiegel Show. Joined in-studio by the hilarious hosts; Summer Verona and Dennis Hof of the famous Bunny Ranch (Carson City, LV) and HBO’s Cat House; and a host of others including Scott The Producer, Christoff and Emery and Steve from the Van Gogh sales team, there was no shortage of excitement or shots!

Inspired by the Bunny Ranch guests, we served the crew the “Booty Bomb,” which combines Van Gogh Acai-Blueberry Vodka and Red Bull, and followed it with the Mickey, Amelia and Spiegel Special, a creative mixture of Van Gogh Double Espresso and Guinness. The cocktails and flavors were a hit - to say the least!
