Pour, Shoot and Score Big this Sunday

We all know this Sunday will be just as much about the party as it is the football, so take your annual pigskin celebration to the next level with cocktail and cooking recipes that add a few extra points to classic recipes.

Super Sunday Shooter (show your loyalty to the Giants or Patriots with a shot of the teams’ colors)
1 oz. Van Gogh Acai - Blueberry Vodka
1 oz. Van Gogh Pomegranate Vodka
Splash of cranberry juice
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for five seconds. Strain into shot glasses.

Extra Point Shot
Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka 1 oz. Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka
1 oz. Creme de cacao
Float Gran Marnier
Combine vodka and creme de cacao in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for five seconds. Strain into shot glasses. Hold a cherry by the stem into the shot glass and carefully pour the Gran Marnier over it so that it floats on top of the shot.


Vodka Tomato Salsa

6 plum tomatoes, diced
2 oz. Van Gogh Vodka
1 can tomato paste
juice of 2 limes
2 tbsp. Cilantro, chopped
1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 shallot, minced
Mix ingredients into bowl. Cover tightly and chill overnight.

Pineapple Mango Salsa
2 fresh mangos, diced
2 oz. Van Gogh Pineapple Vodka
1/4 cup of crushed pineapple
2 tbsp. of chopped fresh cilantro
2 tbsp. of fresh lime juice
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 chopped green bell pepper
1 seeded and minced jalapeño pepper
2 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper
Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Allow flavors to infuse overnight or enjoy immediately.

Totally Tailgating Wings
2 oz. Van Gogh Vodka
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 cup sugar
1 large bottle (15 oz.) soy sauce
1 cup orange juice
Chicken wings

Mix all ingredients together and marinate wings overnight (when making a large quantity of wings, increase marinade recipe enough to cover the chicken). Bake chicken at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until completely cooked (turn at least once).
