Since my last post, I have been taking in more local sights including several government and historical buildings. The gardens here are beautiful and I even caught a few couples taking their wedding pictures in Fuxing Park. I got my first taste of Shanghai night life last week and tried Absinthe, which the bartender lit on fire during a fantastic display.

I conducted more training for the bar staff at the JC Mandarin and worked the Sunday brunch at the Westin, where more than 700 guests enjoyed delicious spreads and of course, Van Gogh Vodka martinis. They were a huge hit!

I’m still in awe of this country and its people. There are so many sights and sounds, not to mention the fabulous food and entertainment. I’m thrilled to be here sharing the Van Gogh brand with China’s new vodka drinkers - it’s an exciting time for us in Shanghai!
