Holiday Spirits and Martini Bars, Oh My!
In the spirit of the season, I am hosting a holiday soirée for a few friends. This means that, from today until 6:55 p.m., Dec. 22, I’ll be obsessing over my two favorite party accessories: food and drink! I believe past guests would agree that a main focal point at all of my events is the refreshments. Of course, this year, we will celebrate the holidays complete with martini bar!
Fortunately, I have plenty of recipe resources at my fingertips and, because I like to serve things that are delicious, but simple, I’ll be offering my guests a few easy cocktail options that incorporate some seasonal favorites:
Christmas Cheers Café
2 oz coffee
2 oz. Van Gogh Espresso, Double Espresso®, or Dutch Chocolate Vodka
Pour ingredients into a coffee cup and enjoy. Add cream and sweetener if desired.
Happy Holidays Punch
3 oz. of your favorite fruit punch (here’s an easy recipe: 1/2 gallon fruit punch, 64 oz. pineapple juice, 1 quart ginger ale)
1 oz. of your favorite Van Gogh Vodka flavor (I recommend Acai-Blueberry®, Pineapple or Pomegranate)
Serve on the rocks with a lemon/orange slice and a cherry on top!
Vanilla Cinnamon Bun
1 oz. eggnog
2 oz. Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka
1/2 oz. vanilla liqueur
1/2 oz. cinnamon schnapps
Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
I must say, I think my friends will be delighted…I can just hear the Christmas-carol karaoke now! Wishing you and yours a very happy and joyful holiday!
Cheers!
Shelley
