Thousands of attendees descended upon Church Street in downtown Orlando last night during Martinifest 2007 to sample more than 50 martinis and cocktails including four Van Gogh Vodka martinis, our Double Espresso and Banana flavored vodkas and (one of my new favorites) Van Gogh Acai-Blueberry Vodka with Red Bull. Judging from the reaction of the crowd, I’m fairly confident no one left disappointed.

I was stationed at the Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka table and poured taste after taste of this overwhelming crowd pleaser. Watching and interacting with the revelers was a study in human curiosity and amazement - to watch as the masses investigated the bottle to determine what they were asking be poured into their glass and then as they smelled the coffee aroma and finally as they experienced the delicious taste! It was like watching a slow motion movie: read bottle, accept challenge, request sample, pour, inquisitively lift glass to nose, sniff, sip, smile with delight and comment. And comment they did.
“Wow, that’s amazing!”
“It really tastes like coffee!”
To a friend: “you have to try this!”
“Where can I buy this? Can I buy a bottle now?”
And the best: “This is my favorite!”

We often say that Van Gogh Vodka is a sensuous experience and last night was the proof. I’ve always believed that once a person tastes one of our vodkas he/she becomes an instant and loyal fan. I enjoyed watching that happen time and time again last night.
